About
Precious Kids Day Nursery was established since 1997 by Audrey St. Louis who holds the NNEB and NVQ 4 qualifications. Audrey started as a volunteer at her daughter’s school and quickly realised that childcare was her passion, she enrolled for the N.N.E.B and qualified as a nursery practitioner at the end of the two years training.
Within 2 years of working at the same nursery, Audrey became senior to a team of 10 staff over two sites. Later all the staff received the news that the nursery was due to close down because of a lack of government funding. Audrey took on the challenge to keep the nursery open and run a business by serving the needs of parents and organisations with quality childcare provisions.
At Precious Kids we are committed to providing your child with a safe, warm and accepting environment to learn in. Our ethos encourages children to respect themselves and others. Using diverse and creative experiences we enhance children’s abilities to socialise with others, be creative, express themselves and develop their learning. We provide high quality teaching and learning for all our children in line with the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, 2021 and Development Matters.
Children are natural born explorers. They learn to question, and wonder, and by doing so, learn. When we are curious about something new, we want to explore it and while exploring we discover. At Precious Kids we actively promote children to become adventurers and seek out new experiences and learn new skills at every opportunity. Every play opportunity therefore holds an opportunity to challenge young minds to lay the foundations for future learning and development.
